Really, I'll Never Do This Again! (Until Tomorrow Night!)
I should have been asleep several hours ago, but I just insist on making my life miserable! I continue this same pattern night after night when I'm here at work--I stay up late, telling myself I'll get some sleep in just a few minutes. Those minutes turn into hours...literally!
Often I don't get to sleep until after 2:00 a.m. Then when I have to wake up at 6:00, I am soooo sorry. I make a promise to myself that I will never go to bed that late again! That promise lasts until that night!
Well, I wanted to write something in here to keep it open. I had a great topic several weeks ago. I was taking a walk in the woods, when inspiration hit! But of course, I didn't have a pen or paper. I considered (I even tried!) to find a stick and somehow write all of my thoughts into the dirt. Of course that was a ridiculous idea!
I'd better go to sleep, or tomorrow morning I'll really regret staying up late. It's already after 1:00.
As I frequently do, I spent the day in Brookline today. I wished I lived in that area. Lots of activity, people, life. "My" town is so stale. I'm choking on its dead air.
Sweet Dreams.

Hmmm...Well, Dear Daughter #1, you are correct, I usually do have a notebook and pen with me. But when I take hikes in the woods, I try to pack lightly. Never again, though. I've learned my lesson the hard way and now have my priorities in order. Next time, the water and cell phone stay behind. Pen & paper are essentials! (That's a principle to which I know you can relate!)
Incidentally, it's very impressive that you've managed to post a comment even though I disabled that feature. I'm impressed, but not surprised. :-)
Love,
Mum
